Palstop® P

PALSTOP® P is an intumescent fire protection board reinforced with glass fiber mats and laminated on both sides with a multi-layer aluminum foil. The board expands at a temperature of 100 °C and can increase its thickness sevenfold in a very short time (approx. 70 seconds), forming a non-combustible, heat-insulating and stable sealing compound. It seals joints, holes and channels in building components and thus prevents the spread of fire.

 

Intended use

It is suitable for cladding or covering cable boxes, inspection openings, ventilation shafts and cable ducts. In this way, the component is protected in the event of fire. The panel can also be used as an insert in fire doors (EI30, EI60, EI90), walls, floors or ceilings.

 

In contrast to permanently installed and sealed fire barriers, the Palstop P board allows easy access to fire protection ducts. This simplifies maintenance, modification or replacement.
